A FEW WORDS WITH MUSICIAN GIORGIO TUMA
We asked Giorgio Tuma a few questions about his inspirations and his relationship with our good buddies from Son of Marketing. We also gave him an upload of one of his songs from his latest album "This Life Denied Me Your Love" which is one of those songs we think you have to listen to. Big thanks to Alessandro Miglietta and everyone at Son of Marketing for reaching out to us. Hope you enjoy the read, and the single below.
Tells us a little bit about yourself?
I live in a little town called Nardo' which is south of Italy. I have a pretty normal life I would say. I play a lot of guitar, watch films and read books. Ohh, I also love to take my beautiful dog Berri out on walks.
What inspired you to get into music?
Music is my life. I’ve been a big lover of music starting at the age of 4 or 5 years old. I used to watch my brother and cousins play guitar all the time. I guess that’s really how I got into it. I would take their guitars all the time and play around with them.
Any artists/bands that inspire you today?
Tame Impala, Beach House, Grizzly Bear, Fleet Foxes and Sufjan Stevens.
How do you know the guys at Son of Marketing?
I didn’t know about them till one day I saw my video on on their site. I appreciated it a lot and I got in contact with them.
How did you and Alessandro Miglietta from Son of Marketing meet?
He lives in a small town close to mine. Sharing the same passion for music and being so close to each other we sooner or later just met both ends.
Is there anything you would like to say to artists that are up and coming like you? Maybe some advice and what not?
Funny you ask that because I need some advice too, hahahaha. Anyway my best advice I think is putting out a lot of music. It’s probably the most important thing in order to make it, I think.
What can we look forward to from you in the future?
I hope to do more gigs, travel around the world and perform. Thanks to my new album I’m able to get closer to my dreams and get to do more of what I love.
Thank you so much Buried Muse, really - GIO'
